Privacy Policy

ConvertOGG is designed so supported audio files are processed in your browser rather than uploaded to a conversion server.

Audio files

When you choose a file, the browser reads it locally to identify the container and codec. When you start a conversion, the file is copied into browser worker memory and processed by FFmpeg/WASM on your device. ConvertOGG does not send the audio file itself to an API, database or server-side FFmpeg process.

Conversion engine download

The heavier FFmpeg/WASM engine is loaded only after you start a conversion. Loading the engine requires ordinary network requests for the software assets, but those requests do not contain your audio file.

Temporary browser data

Input and output data used by the conversion worker are temporary. Download links use browser object URLs and are released when they are replaced, reset or when the page is closed.

Browser storage and preferences

ConvertOGG may use local browser storage to remember functional preferences, such as a file-size limit you selected. This preference data is stored on your device and can be removed by clearing site data in your browser.

Website infrastructure

The core converter is delivered as static web pages and runs locally in the browser. There are no audio-upload endpoints, conversion accounts or conversion databases required for the conversion process.

Analytics

ConvertOGG may use analytics services to understand overall site traffic, pages viewed, device or browser categories and general usage patterns. Analytics do not require access to the contents of your audio files. If analytics tools are enabled, they may set cookies or use similar technologies according to their own privacy policies and applicable consent requirements.

Advertising and Google AdSense

ConvertOGG may display advertising, including ads served through Google AdSense. Google and other advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure and, where permitted, personalize ads based on visits to this and other websites. Advertising partners process data under their own privacy policies and applicable law.

Where consent is legally required for non-essential advertising or analytics technologies, the site should request that consent before those technologies are used.

External links

Pages may contain links to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are controlled by those third parties, not by ConvertOGG.

Children's privacy

ConvertOGG is a general-purpose utility and is not intentionally designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe personal information has been provided inappropriately, contact us so the issue can be reviewed.

Your choices

You can clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Where a consent control is available, you can use it to manage optional advertising or analytics choices.

This policy may be updated when the service, advertising, analytics, consent tools or legal requirements change. The last-updated date above will be revised when material changes are made.
